Saturday Stay & Play Club
A safe, fun, stay and play session for families with children who have additional needs. Trained staff and volunteers work and play with the children to make sure their needs are met, while they have fun and meet other children. We have crafts and activities, sensory toys, bikes and scooters, a quiet area and even a bouncy castle!
Our sessions are split into 2 halves, separated by snack and juice at 11am. In the hall, for our first half, we have our bouncy castle alongside various soft play and toys which encourage active, imaginative play. This swaps over to a variety of ride ons for bikes and trikes time after snack. Quiet games (e.g. connect 4), puzzles, fancy dress, books and focused imaginative play (e.g. train track, play kitchen etc.) are available throughout the sessions in our quiet area. We also have our activities table which features a variety of different craft, Lego or cooking activities, changing each week. Our fun and imaginative environment aims to support a wide range of aspects of your child’s development.
No professional referral is necessary and siblings are welcomed too, giving them a chance to make friends with other children who’s brothers and sisters have additional needs.Parents have their own room to sit and chat, but are reminded that it is a stay and play club. They are encouraged to support play, watch friendships blossom and see some of the amazing moments our fun, friendly ‘can-do’ environment creates.
